Activities for Sonnet 18 'Shall I compare thee...?'

A number of comprehension activities which take students through Shakespeare's poem, from a prereading to an initial understanding of what the poem is about.

Students begin by looking at a crunched version of the poem, explore the language choices and some of the techniques, before discussing with a partner what the message of the poem might be.
