A useful introductory resource focused on semantic fields. Students play a semantic fields game where they have one minute to think of as many example words relating to a particular semantic field as they can, followed by an engaging extension task where they explore the semantic fields in Martin Luther King's speech, 'I Have a Dream'.

The resource includes a diagram of the semantic fields of English and extensive teaching notes and suggestions for how to manage the activities.
