Pimp my writing!

Students look at a supposedly descriptive passage about a friend, and rate the writing using the 'snooze-ometer' before improving the writing using a number of suggested techniques.

The second page includes two examples of 'pimped' writing for students to comment on. The following writing activity asks students to describe a friend. As an alternative, this activity would work well for describing a character.
