Spend some of the school's money!

A group discussion activity based on a school council debate about how best to spend the budget.

The resource includes an outline of the discussion task, a price list and role cards for each member of the school council.

This resource would be suitable for helping students to understand different viewpoints on an issue, and could be useful preparation for a persuasive writing task, as well as developing students' ability to present a line of argument being mindful of others' points of view.
