A well-known French counting rhyme, or 'comptine', is used in this resource to help students identify rhyming words. By starting with numbers from 1-12, students make links to the spelling patterns in unknown vocabulary, in order to improve their pronunciation. By the end of the lesson, they should aim to say the whole rhyme off by heart.
