How to use this resource
At KS2, this resource serves as an excellent introduction to world climate zones. Students can colour code the different zones whilst learning about their characteristics, temperatures and locations. The activity helps develop geographical vocabulary and understanding of how climate varies across the globe.
For KS3 students, the map can be used for a more detailed study of climate zones and biomes. Students can add annotations about precipitation patterns, temperature ranges and typical vegetation. It's particularly useful for comparative studies and understanding the relationship between latitude and climate.
