Sustainable housing

This resource looks at different options for sustainable housing. Students begin by looking at the example of Beddington zero energy development - BedZed. They annotate an image of the development with information from a short video clip. They then consider their own homes and how sustainable they are.

Students then consider how they could make a local housing development more sustainable for future generations, they should write a report to the director of the housing company. There is an example of how to develop their writing from a simple to a detailed response. An opportunity for peer assessment in included.
