A card sort activity based around the debate prompt: 'The solutions to problems with law and order in the frontier towns of the West were ineffective'. Students read a set of factual cards, including some detailed case studies, and make a judgement as to how far they support the debate prompt. Students then place the cards along a continuum to rate the effectiveness of law and order in frontier towns.
