A detailed matching task to help students define key terms relating to US escalation in Vietnam, and a diamond ranking activity to encourage prioritisation of the reasons for escalation. Students are asked to recall the importance of guerrilla warfare, Operation Rolling Thunder and search and destroy missions, amongst others. It was designed for A-level students on the AQA HIS2Q course, but might also be useful to GCSE groups. Teacher answers to the matching task are included.
