A festive guessing game to review French Christmas words at KS3 or KS4.
The Word/PDF version is a card game in which students challenge other players to guess the Christmas keyword from three clues on the card. Players get three points for guessing the word from just one clue, two points for two clues and one point for three clues. Great practice for vocab retrieval, listening skills and reading aloud!
For a less challenging version, try the PowerPoint quiz. Here, teams can read each written clue in turn and choose the correct French Christmas word from three options provided. The questions build in difficulty, and seeing the options repeated in successive slides helps to reinforce the vocabulary.
