This KS3 magnets resource is based on an escape room type activity. Students answer multiple-choice questions on magnetic materials and magnetic force laws as they work their way through the maze. Once they have reached the end, they use the decoder sheet to find a numeric value for each letter. which they add together to get the key.
This is a wonderful resource for students who are not engaging or our struggling scientists. It is a low threat, high stake type activity because you can easily pick out areas of weakness from their answers.

Used as starter/assessment for a year 7 class. Worked in teams of 3, first to finish , correctly, gained reward points.
