Before retiring, I taught GCSE, AS and A level English Language, Literature, and Combined Language and Literature in a Sixth Form College for eighteen years. Previously, I taught Adult Literacy in Community Education for four years before gaining a PGCE for secondary teaching. Also, I was a GCSE English examiner and senior examiner for over ten years. I still have an interest in all aspects of English - reading, writing and analysis.
